Amyris is seeking a creative, out-of-the box thinker and communicator who is interested in working with a vibrant and soulful brand with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead sales and communicate the pillars of Costa Brazil and Francisco Costa's vision. This position will be a multi-faceted position that will touch the key points of this growing brand: Sales, Education / Events and team building.

As part of a growing team, we are looking for a highly organized, self- starter and business-minded individuals with a passionate and collaborative spirit.

The Director of Sales & Education is responsible for achieving sales targets and agreed profitability in all existing accounts as well as all new sales doors. We have aggressive sales targets and are looking for someone to help us achieve our sales objectives and goals. Additionally, He/she will drive all aspects of managing and building a core team of brand ambassadors including hiring, supervising, education, coaching of direct reports and point of sales staffs in the region.

Responsibilities

    • Sales and New Business Development
    • Identify new markets and new opportunities online and offline. This includes traditional retail, lifestyle stores, fashion retail, amenities, and hospitality opportunities.
    • Drive sales for the region and guarantee on-brand execution at all times, across select doors and channels.
    • Establish sales objectives by forecasting annual sales goals for regions (for new and existing doors), monitor monthly achievements, identifies risk and opportunities to deliver latest estimates.
    • Communicate day to day business needs with select retailers.
    • Follow up with existing accounts and set up quarterly and annual sales goals. Ensure POs are being placed to achieve forecasts.
    • Develop profitable sales plans and increase market share by achieving sales objectives and implementing education and marketing strategies.
    • Strategically partner with leadership teams of key retailers to drive business and maximize market share.
    • Work closely with the VP of Brand Development to create tailored and compelling partnership presentations for potential new retail partners.
    • Develop brand sales and marketing presentations for seasonal launches and new business pitches.
    • Works closely with Marketing, Creative, Planning, Logistics, Ops, Sales, Regulatory, Product Development, Purchasing and Legal Teams to ensure day to day business needs are met.
    • Manages execution of sampling and marketing initiatives with internal and external team partners.
    • Manages product tasks that support vendor inventory management, vendor set up, brand partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
    • Maintains and manages master calendars for product launches, marketing initiatives and sales events.
    • Maintains excellent operation of the team including, scaling of resources, processes and communications.
    • Works closely with operational teams to ensure shipments are delivered on times and meeting forecast goals.
    • Manage the set up new store locations including international accounts and effectively onboard new retailers.
    • Make recommendations for point of sale marketing to support each customer.
    • Manage day-to-day detailed progress of retail marketing programs.
    • Monitor and track planning and execution of marketing strategy through the main Costa Brazil. Marketing Calendar and each individual retailer's marketing calendars. Ensure that POs are placed against planned activities.
    • Maintain and monitor project timelines and follow up with cross-functional team members on an ongoing basis,
    • Create a strategic plan for new door openings: assortment, hiring, and education. Lead the implementation of the brand's opening strategy plan in all new doors (training, in-store partnership, sampling), oversees execution, monitor performances of opening strategy and lead team to redirect efforts as needed
    • Provide competitive information from the retail perspective to SVP of Brand Development and Retail Marketing.
    • Propose product promotional ideas to VP of Brand Development and Retail Marketing by conducting market analyses, identifying strength and weaknesses in branding and using creative and analytical thinking.
    • Partner closely with operational planner on new launches forecast.
    • Analyze sales weekly, monthly, Monitor and understand KPI, coach ambassadors on redirecting efforts to achieve monthly targets.
    • Create and communicate monthly and bi-monthly business updates to HQ.
    • Work to constantly update and perfect selling tools, including but not limited to Brand Book, Wholesale Order Sheets, Training Sheets, Brochures, Trend Profile.
    • Manage 3rd growth partners.
    • Responsible for the voice of the brand and cultivating relationships at all levels: Buyers, Sales Associates, Influencers and Consumers.
    • Spend time in store cultivating relationship with buyers, store managers and staff to ensure the best brand position possible.
    • Develop and write training materials & presentations with the help of creative marketing team.
    • Educate buyers, sales associates and consumers on the intimate details of Costa Brazil's brand story.
    • Visit all store locations to ensure stores are properly educated and the brand is in the best possible space and location and represented to our visual standards.
    • Serve as key partner in education to train and coach in-store staff teams in all retailer locations.
    • Develop compelling events and in store experiences by location, ensure all details are set up and be the liaison between the retail team and the Costa Brazil core group.
    • Maintain ongoing coaching, training, and motivation of retailer personnel.
    • Facilitate all aspects of high impact trainings, including but not limited to visual concepts, creating gratis and product information packages, coordinating catering for large scale trainings, presenting brand and product specific information in a compelling way to groups of 2 - 35 people.
    • Oversees recruitment and onboarding of Costa Brazil brand ambassadors in key markets and for specific retail accounts.
    • Lead implementation of meaningful and on-brand immersions sessions for new employees
    • Develop the talent and capabilities through store visits, management meetings and one-on-ones coaching to support sales goals and ensure that talent embodies the Costa Brazil philosophy.


Qualifications

    • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant sales & education experience.
    • Action oriented, out of the box, forward thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.
    • Highly motivated with the ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Loves to be in store and executing events.
    • Have a customer service mindset.
    • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of beauty industry.
    • Willingness to travel.
    • Must be a strong collaborator who can work effectively with key internal and external partners.
    • Great analytical and communication skills.
    • Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
