Job Details

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Design and Development team at CRAIG GREEN. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, organised and looking to develop their skills within a dynamic and fast-paced creative environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Proto / Sampling Stage:

  • Support design in the development of product, maintaining required aesthetic and integrity, with the aim of reducing cost and improving quality
  • Provide input for efficient factory allocation
  • Developing and maintain block archive for future seasons

Production:

  • Organise and manage SMS fit, measuring all samples and noting discrepancies ahead of fit
  • Take and manage notes from SMS fit to launch PPS
  • Ensure production sign off is as Design intentions so the supplier can effectively and efficiently deliver it
  • Manage PPS process and sign off, in line with critical path
  • Manage PP pattern amends with in-house pattern cutters - create pattern cutter working schedule in line with production critical path
  • Amend tech packs/update size charts
  • Ensure garment construction methods are maintained
  • Execute continuous quality assessment 
  • Visit stores after garments have been delivered, to inspect quality and follow up with reporting
  • Manage Quality Control for production arrivals 
  • Partake in risk assessment sessions
  • Flag and manage risk in fabric construction, trim risk, fabric testing, care labels and disclaimers
  • Challenge grading to ensure best fit, manage production grading rules
  • Management of garment tech manual
  • Update production costings following PPS sign off

Qualifications: 

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in pattern cutting and garment technology
  • Comprehensive understanding of all menswear categories, fitting and fit issues is essential
  • Experience in working directly with factories required
  • Good CAD skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Zedonk
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task 
  • Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently
