JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Manger, IT Security Advisory will lead the Security Advisory function with the objective to embed security requirements into IT and Business projects, manage risks and enable security by design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognised point of contact for the business to ensure new projects and initiatives are assessed and pragmatic risk based security advice is provided.
  • Ensure security requirements for project stage gates are consistently adopted and embedded in the project methodology.
  • Manage and report on high-profile projects and ensure adequate governance is established to manage risks from these work streams.
  • Ensure continuous optimisation of IT Security Framework to support the delivery of consistent security input to projects, services and solutions.
  • Manage a team of security advisory consultants performing security risk assessments against projects to determine control requirements.
  • Manage third party consultancy manpower provider to meet project demands.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider business and IT functions to ensure a consistent approach to embedding security into projects.
  • Implement and manage the tools necessary to support the team's mission.


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Relevant academic or industry qualifications such as CISSP, CISM.
  • Experience and knowledge of Information Security processes & technologies spanning networks, applications, mobile devices and web related technologies (web applications, web services, service orientated architectures).
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working and practices.
  • Knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong experience of managing a team.
  • Capable of working autonomously or unsupervised to the same level of quality.
  • Commercial experience as a IT Security Consultant/Manager.
