Are you obsessed with customers? Do you love building inspiring and intuitive shopping experiences and designing website and app features from scratch? We're looking for a Director of Product Design to lead us in building an inspiring, intuitive, addicting, “spend half my life on your site” shopping experience for our customers that drives industry-leading sales growth for our business.

As the Director, you will help drive across the company the Design standards and principles to develop the most engaging digital experience. You will partner with Creative and Marketing on developing editorial digital experiences, and collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to identify and execute on continually improving on the customer experience. You’ll lead usability research to gain insights and validate designs as well as have an opportunity to make creative design decisions around UI. In this highly collaborative and influential role, there are endless opportunities to align and make recommendations to the Senior leadership team, and impact the overall Doll Kill brand experience.


    • Create, establish, and promote product design organization & processes to integrate the function within the development process.
    • Own the vision and system for overall user experience across desktop, mobile and tablet experiences.
    • Ensure world class design quality end to end, across all design competencies, e.g., visual, content, typography, motion, interaction design, prototyping and user experience research
    • Partner with stakeholders (Including Product Management, Engineering, Creative, Marketing,) on vision and strategy to ensure interaction experience is on brand, meets stakeholder needs and business goals
    • Communicate and align closely with Product Management and Engineering on overall UX strategy, engineering deliverables, and ensuring work supports feature & project priorities.
    • Partner with Creative, Marketing, and Site Merchandising teams on developing editorial digital experiences that bring the brand to life and make it easy to shop.
    • Understand the Dolls Kill voice, maintain brand look and feel across all experiences
    • Define, build, recruit and manage a talented team of designers, researchers, to deliver all aspects of the customer experience.
    • Manage overall workload, assignment of work, mentoring and developing team’s skills
    • Own and maintain high fidelity mocks, wireframes, prototypes to communicate UX vision.
    • Recommend & develop research activities to deepen the understanding of customer needs in order to make strategic, informed design recommendations
    • As a leader within the Product Development organization, contribute to the high-level technology roadmap, developing processes for consistently delivering high quality technology driven user experiences


    • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
    • 8-10years of Product (UX/UI) Web Design experience
    • Experience Designing Retail and Ecommerce focused solutions
    • Extensive knowledge of information architecture, user centered design best practices, creative and visual design concepts as relates to consumer site design and applications
    • Strong portfolio showcasing examples of information design skills and problem solving applying the user-experience design methodology
    • Experience leading, mentoring, and managing other designers on projects.
    • Exceptional cross-functional communication and collaboration skills. You must be comfortable and confident leading discussions at all levels in the organization
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
    • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, and getting things done at the appropriate level of polish against tight timelines.
