Expert Group Accounting (m/f/d)

In order to continue to be prepared for the challenges of the digital world in the future, we in the Group Finance & Tax division are committed to adapting dynamically to new circumstances and being open to new ideas. Our job is to ensure the correct application of complex accounting and tax regulations and to prepare correct and complete financial statements, thus ensuring financial transparency within the Group. To this end, we develop uniform processes and guidelines for all accounting/tax/treasury issues and also advise our interface departments in Metzingen and our subsidiaries worldwide on the further development of operational processes.

We are looking for a new team player who enjoys making a difference and moving things forward in a dynamic, international environment.

What you can expect:

• You are the first point of contact our globally operating production and sales companies for all key accounting and reporting issues
• You will ensure timely and complete reporting for the companies you support and will independently perform analyses and the corresponding quality controls
• You will also be responsible for the monthly execution and plausibility check of complex consolidation and elimination activities, such as the elimination of intercompany profits.
• As a Subject Matter Expert, you will take ownership and drive selected accounting topics such as the accounting and valuation of inventories
• You will prepare sections of the notes to the consolidated financial statements and align content and scope independently with the interface departments and the group auditor
• You will proactively contribute your expertise and ideas to exciting Group-wide projects for further develop and optimize our accounting and consolidation systems and the continuous updating of Group guidelines

Your profile:

• Successfully completed degree in business administration / economics with specialization in accounting / auditing
• Several years of experience in the field of group accounting / auditing (> 3 years) of an internationally operating and listed group or relevant experience in an auditing company
• Very good knowledge of IAS/IFRS and the preparation of consolidated financial statements
• Well-developed skills of SEM BCS consolidation software, SAP FI/CO and SAP BIS would be desirable
• Your way of working is proactive and solution-oriented and you like to take ownership
• You have excellent analytical and conceptual skills and a high level of customer orientation
• You are able to communicate complex accounting issues in a comprehensible and understandable way
• German language skills (B1 level) would be desirable, but are not mandatory
