JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for fabric sourcing/development/bulk merchandising
  • Responsible for trim sourcing and development
  • Attend fabric fairs and visit mills regularly to update the latest trend/innovative products/raw material.
  • Negotiate the best price, lead time, MOQ with suppliers.
  • Follow up all sourcing & development & sample orders to make sure they adhere to the calendar timeline.
  • Work close with NY counterpart to manage expectation to balance between price, quality & aesthetic look.
  • Partner with the testing team to identify risk assessment, highlight any potential risk to NY counterpart, and provide suggestions whenever possible.
  • Manage development tests and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the fabric is acceptable for production.
  • Always look for opportunities for key programs to ensure we are in the best market position.
  • Assess existing and new mills concerning R&D capabilities & performance
  • Assist in developing new potential mills and support mill onboarding process/training
  • Keep a clear record and update the system with accurate fabric information in a timely manner.


EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 8 years experience and at least 3-4 years in a senior position.
  • Strong experience in sourcing and development, working experience in buying office is preferable.
  • Good knowledge on fabric production process.
  • Good knowledge in both woven and knit fabric.
  • Good knowledge in US/GB testing / RSL requirement
  • Familiar with PLM system is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, business-minded, creative, resourceful, willing to face challenges and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in English & Mandarin.
  • Higher Diploma or above.
