Strategic Brand Director

At Iris van Herpen we are looking for an experienced Strategic Brand Director to initiate and manage our activities in marketing, sales, PR, and collaborations. The ideal candidate is creative, possesses a strategic mind, and has experience in initiating and implementing new strategies to drive growth. This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

General:

Develop the Maison's strategic direction, contributing to and implementing the company's medium and long term strategy
Manage the overall brand direction, analyze brand positioning and consumer insights.
Shape and communicate our vision and mission, responsible for creating, planning, and implementing the strategic direction and vision.
Translate Haute Couture and Accessories opportunities into go-to-market strategies.
Create and improve elite customer experiences in Haute Couture and High-end Accessories through creative and proactive approaches
Developing the company's image and increasing the brand profile globally
Overseeing day-to-day operations
Manage and inspire a team of people working on brand initiatives, sales, and collaborations. Effectively plan workload & prioritize tasks and achieve deadlines
Business development, initiating and overseeing brand partnerships and new product categories
Establish performance specifications, cost and price parameters, market applications, and sales estimates
Measure and report performance of all marketing activities, and assess ROI and KPIs
Oversee new and ongoing marketing and advertising activities
Monitor product distribution and consumer reactions
Devise innovative growth strategies
Building strong relationships across the team, and creating an innovative culture within the team.
 
P&L:

Responsible for managing and allocating budgets for marketing, sales, and collaborations
Responsible for achieving or exceeding turnover targets in sales of Haute Couture, Accessories and Collaborations of a commercial nature

HR:

Responsible for hiring, retaining, and reviewing marketing, sales, and collaborations staff

Requirements

Proven working experience as Brand Manager or a similar role for a minimum of 5 years
Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and implement recommendations
Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix
Experience with VIP / KOL relationships
Strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
Highly driven, exceptional team motivational and management skills
Experienced in building a credible, efficient, reliable, and knowledgeable team, strong leadership, management, and coaching skills to develop others
Clear communicator & negotiator with the ability to influence and work well with a variety of people globally
Experience with C-level negotiations
Entrepreneurial spirit
