Main Duties

Purple is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic senior candidate to lead its lifestyle team in the London office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and interest in Culture, interior designers, Art and Design and brand launches, large scale events, global PR and marketing campaigns, brand collaborations, staff management and business development.

This individual will serve as a mentor, Leader, and lead example for account teams on client management, results, staff development and strategic guidance. The candidate will also be involved in new business efforts.

Must have a good eye for detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under deadlines. The position will entail researching, developing, writing, editing and proofreading a full range of communications materials, including talking points, Q&As, web content and more.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop talking points for client interviews and personal appearances
  • Be the point person for senior members of the client’s teams
  • Client coaching, prepping for media appearances and interviews
  • Draft content and stories about the clients’ brand, activity, launches
  • Write press releases for all initiatives
  • Work on global brand communications, including bios and boilerplates, updating existing assets and creating new ones as needed
  • Connect with/interview team members across the client’s organisation to ensure that all communications include information that is accurate and up-to-date
  • Be informed about the client’s overall business direction and key global markets to ensure all written materials are timely and relevant
  • Versed in the realms of hospitality/culture/lifestyle
  • Able to identify relevant designers, artists, cultural events/happenings around the world for partnerships and events
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on a tight deadline
  • Manage projects
  • Overseeing reports for the client
  • Maintain and grow media relationships with key editors across global publications
  • Responsible for the delivery of client strategies and pitching of lead features
  • Contribute to other internal and corporate events
  • Proficient in Powerpoint/Keynote
  • New business outreach and presentation skills
  • Managing a dynamic team and workflow
  • Senior client counsel and problem solving/crisis communications skills a benefit

Skills and qualities

  • 10 years of PR & marketing experience
  • Superior high level media contacts and broadcast, print and online media
  • Experience managing account teams
  • Established relationships with influencers within Purple’s areas of focus, including, lifestyle, music, art and culture
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-resolution skills, including the ability to think creatively and prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be a team player in an environment that requires and rewards collaboration
