About the role

The Merchandise Assistant is responsible for supporting the Merchandising team in the development of the Merchandise Strategy to meet the commercial needs of the global/ regional business. This role will support through sample management, data integrity and ad hoc projects as needed. Communicating and collaborating with cross functional partners to help execute the concept to customer pipeline are also central to this role.

What you'll do

  • Own creation and management of styles/ SKUs in internal database (Global Assort). This includes updating markdown dates and promotions, realizing BOMs, ensuring tiering is accurate for North America Market and attributing all style level information.
  • Sample Management: Ensure all information and samples are set up and organized for easy access by all team members
    • Manage samples during key milestone meetings as well as in-season presentations.
    • Manage sample pass-offs with marketing & visual merchandising teams.
    • Dis card, donate or archive samples on a seasonal basis.
  • Own Monday business by recapping the prior week of sales total division performance by category and ccs to leaders then sharing out identifying hits, misses, any red flags or stars with the broader team.
  • Collaborate with cross function team - Product Development, Design, Inventory Management and Online.
  • Responsible for creating line sheets and/or assortment grids to show future assortments.
  • Assist in creation of various presentation tools (visual boards, decks, etc.).
  • Stay up to date on market trends and help pull together competitive landscape decks at the start of each season and during key holidays.


Who you are

  • Willing to roll up your sleeves and have a 'can do' attitude!
  • Detail oriented and understands accountability and the importance of accurate data entry.
  • Proactive, takes initiative and resourceful.
  • Eager to learn about Merchandising and is curious.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint) with an aptitude for learning new programs. Advanced skills in Excel and email preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure timely and accurate execution of responsibilities.
  • Strong ability to identify and execute priorities with a sense of urgency.
