Senior Manager, Internal Audit Automation (Remote, Americas)

About the Role:

As Shopify continues to expand and scale, Risk and Internal Audit continues to provide timely insights to help teams across our business manage risk & ultimately help our merchants succeed.

We're looking to add a leader to our Risk and Internal Audit team to scale and deliver on our internal audit automation strategy. In this role, you will be selecting and using audit technology (e.g., process mining, RPA, etc) to analyzeinformation in order to process and determine whether or not we are effectively managing our most critical risks.

Responsibilities:

• Informing and executing on audit automation strategy, including systems and resource needs
  
• Partnering with multiple groups across Shopify, including data science, to understand various processes
  
• Developing automated solutions for Internal Audit to provide insights to the business on how we manage risks within our processes
  
• Data model development and execution to inform performance assessments (i.e. identification of anomalies, standard processing times, etc) across our products and management systems
  
• Assessing performance of different systems, including: capital, management, platform & key partnership
  
• Auditing established automation across Shopify
  
• Working cross functionally to understand key areas of risk and existing information systems
  
• Developing actionable management reporting on areas of key risks
  

Qualifications

• Significant proven experience setting direction, leading teams, and implementing audit automation technologies (e.g. process mining, RPA, etc) for internal audit or enterprise risk management at a large company
  
• A growth mindset, a builder's mentality and a proven history of effective execution
  
• The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous work environment and to navigate through change & evolving systems
  
• Expertise in partnering with the business and coaching stakeholders at different levels and functions
  
• Experience building, developing and managing high-performing team
  

Bonus Experience

• Experience establishing and integrating audit automation into an existing internal audit function
  
• Experience implementing audit automation solutions in Tech or other fast-growth business models
  
• Experience in FinTech
