­Do you have a passion for social media channel strategy and creating the right content on the right channel to connect with the right person?  Can you identify how to build and scale community, genuinely craft an authentic story, while maintaining an active test and learn agenda?  Can own, from concept, execution, content planning and reporting on results, the full end-to-end process across multiple channels…while recommending new ones?  Can you keep our brand on the cusp of innovation by maintaining a pulse on what’s trending, how platform updates affect our iterative channel strategy and what’s new in terms of whitespace channel opportunities (new features, ad units, etc,…)…and then distill that into implications for Faherty and our community?

If you answered yes to the above and are hungry to learn more, Faherty is seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial one-stop-shop Social Media Marketing Manager to lead our organic social media channel strategy and content planning+execution,  The Social Media Manager is a critical part of communicating and connecting Faherty’s brand, product and values within social, requiring cross-functional partnership across the organization, key stakeholders and external collaborators, under the direction of our VP of Marketing.

What you’ll do:

  • Create our Social Media Channel Strategy, optimizing our current platforms and developing strategic POVs on new channel opportunities (TikTok, Pinterest, YT, etc…).
  • Own all content concepting, planning, execution, CX and reporting working closely with the internal Growth, Influencer/Affiliate, Digital, Creative and Copy teams.
    • Manage and balance content planning and amplification across:
      • Brand
      • Product
      • Impact and Faherty Values
      • Experiential Events (e.g., Sun Sessions, in-store Events, Wholesale Events, etc…)
      • Design Collaborations
      • UGC across the Faherty family, brand lovers, Retail/WS team members
    • Work in close collaboration with Chief Impact Officer and Social Impact Manager for strategic development and execution of social and environmental impact campaigns that align with Faherty’s progressive values.
    • Recommend additional authentic storytelling opportunities in partnership with the Faherty Family, Merchandising and sourcing/production teams.
    • Respond to or resolve inquiries with our Customer Experience team for all customer comments, in a timely manner
  • Evolve ways of working/process to identify and implement new content management, social listening, publishing, and analytics platform.


Must have qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Marketing or Business degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in content and social media management with a Retail, DTC and/or consumer products brand.  Proven history of strong brand-direct relationships.
  • Broad knowledge of social media, digital media, influencer-marketing and earned media with a deep strategic understanding of marketing campaigns and digital media plan development.
  • Cross-functional, project management and leadership experience required. Experience influencing across all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at story-telling, impeccable copywriting and strong communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrable application of continuous learning and development.
  • Ability to track KPIs and critically assess performance to improve and optimize output
  • Passionate about building a brand with purpose and demonstrating advocacy through business.
