Staff Accountant

You are a self-starter who can work independently and with cross-functional teams. You have a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting policies and are eager to learn.

What You Get To Do Every Day

• Key member of the accounting team responsible for executing the close process, including ownership of specific balance sheet accounts, preparation of journal entries, completion of account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies 
• Review general ledger coding to ensure expenses are accurately recorded by account and department in the correct accounting period 
• Responsible for reviewing financial statements and performing fluctuation analyses of the balance sheet and P&L
• Assist with internal controls, policies, procedures, and scalability improvements including documentation of the control environment 
• Support the annual audit, including preparation of audit schedules
• Partner closely with FP&A and various cross-functional teams 
• Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business expands 
• Ad hoc projects as required or as business scales

What You Bring To The Role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferably a high-growth environment.
• Active CPA license and Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Attention to detail and strong communication, time management and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system
• Experience with Blackline or similar software
