About the Role

Dolls Kill is seeking an experienced, strategic leader to join the team as a key partner to our CEO and the rest of the management team. You and your team are responsible for creating continuity between Dolls Kill’s overall strategy, cross company initiatives, day-to-day operations, and our financial results. You must see the big picture but also understand operations, marrying strategic thinking with execution. Tactically you’re responsible for managing all aspects of our finance and accounting processes. Strategically you connect our mission to strategic, operating, and financial plans, aligning the board, executive team, and whole company to our goals.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee all financial planning, analysis, forecasting and budgeting; present financial and operating information with key insights in various formats, including management results reviews and board and investor meetings
    • Collaborate closely with management team to drive overall strategy, create alignment, and provide visibility to measurable results (financial and otherwise)
    • Create a culture of value creation; facilitate rapid growth while maintaining focus on the bottom line
    • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
    • Oversee all accounting operations, develop and evolve systems and process to efficiently handle large and rapidly growing volume while maintaining strong controls
    • Oversee external audits and tax compliance
    • Build strong internal control processes
    • Manage capital structure, identify working capital and growth investment financing needs, oversee both debt and equity financing efforts
    • Directly manage investor and board of directors relationships and general investor communications
    • Collaborate closely with and provide key insights to teams throughout the company, including merchandise planning, operations and marketing
    • Evaluate, improve and help build cross-company processes that are efficient and scalable; assist with crafting and realizing company policies and procedures that institutionalize proper controls
    • Lead and develop top finance and accounting talent


Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related Business; MBA preferred; CPA a plus
    • Domain experience in venture-growth stage companies; experience with retail or ecommerce strongly preferred
    • 15+ years of increasing financial leadership experience
    • Extensive knowledge of and experience with accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
    • Excellent communication skills; ability to develop concise summaries of complex analyses and data appropriate for various levels of consumption ranging from board members to team members across the company
    • Experience overseeing complex projects through completion
    • Strategic thinker with a strong ‘business sense’
