Payroll Specialist

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry payroll processing. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all data entry related to our semi-monthly payroll; compile hours worked, PTO used to assure timely and accurate payroll across salaried and hourly employees.
• Enforce approval deadlines and manage data uploads between time and attendance module and payroll site (TriNet).
• Manage PTO accruals, report usage and balances to managers and supervisors; manage leaves.
• Field general payroll and benefits questions, serve as liaison for answering complex questions.
• Onboard new employees, terminations, and change in status in HR and payroll systems. Assist with administration of payroll and HR systems.
• Create detailed payroll reporting for finance, HR, and management.

Requirements:

• 3-5 Years of Payroll/HR experience on TriNet, ADP, Paychex or other payroll systems.
• Experience with processing both hourly and salaried payroll in a multi-location and multi-state environment.
• Experience with accounting systems, Netsuite experience would be a plus.
• Solid accounting knowledge experienced in payroll accounting principals.
• MS Office Suite experience required. HRIS system experience preferred.
• Strong excel skills and someone who is comfortable working with large data sets.
• Need a good cultural fit and someone we can trust with confidential information.
• Minimum Associates degree preferred.
• Ability to work independently and be engaging on teams.
