About the Role

The Manager of Transformation in Inventory Management is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives that improve Old Navy's inventory management capabilities. They will manage project resources to execute new strategies, techniques, processes, and technologies. Using strong project management skills, they will work with transformation leadership to bring strategic initiatives to life with sound plans grounded in analysis and business insight.

What You'll Do

Strategic Realization
  • Support strategic visioning by effectively capturing and defining stakeholder needs and project objectives
  • Articulate inventory improvement opportunities into actionable plans supported by business leaders
  • Support new capabilities and ways of working through influence of, and partnership with, key stakeholders
  • Drive implementation of analytics and systems improvements, partnering closely with internal and external resources

Transformation and Change
  • Manage project activities for strategic initiatives
  • Create strategic approaches and frameworks
  • Define new and changed processes
  • Determine appropriate analytics techniques
  • Identify system requirements and functionality that supports the future ways of working
  • Define organizational roles and responsibility impacts
  • Determine training approach, structures, and resource needs
  • Conduct initiative pilots and measure results
  • Lead the full implementation of IM transformation changes across the company
  • Communicate transformation results and status

Project and Program Management
  • Create project plans for initiatives that align with the strategic vision and priorities of Old Navy
  • Identify resource needs by function and skillset for initiatives
  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure activity execution and success
  • Coordinate with IM Transformation leadership on issue resolution and progress reporting
  • Measure results and report on business impacts

  • Systems Acumen: Experienced in systems implementations, from initial requirements through end-user rollout
  • Risk Management: Anticipate risks and identifies contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur
  • Results Oriented: Is passionate about achieving and tracking bottom-line business results
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of retail operating or consulting experience
  • Experience with tools like R, XLSTAT, PowerBi, etc.
  • Experience with process diagramming techniques
  • Familiar with organizational structures such as RACI/RAPID
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
