Junior Designer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to join the busy studio at ERDEM who will join the Ready-to-wear Design team as a JUNIOR DESIGNER for womenswear.

The successful candidate should be self-motivated, organised be able to work independently within a fast-paced creative team environment and have a good understanding of the brand’s aesthetic.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design of the seasonal accessories and jewellery collections
• Assist with the design of womenswear for pre and main collection
• Clear presentation of designs
• Take responsibility for allocated tasks ensuring they are completed to a high standard and within deadline
• General assistance in everyday studio work, organising design files and documents, creating and maintaining design boards
• RTW technical hand drawings
• CAD mock-ups and colourways
• Actively participate/assist with fittings; photography, editing and documenting fit photos
• Develop trim and textile swatches
• Archive seasonal design ideas and developments 
• Any other task required of the role

Skills Required of the Successful Candidate:

• Advanced user of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office suite
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Exceptional technical hand drawing skills
• Strong time management skills
• Work to deadlines
• Highly organized and able to work independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interest in fashion and awareness of seasonal shows
• Broad range of RTW design experience across all garment categories for womenswear
• Experience designing accessories and jewellery
• Excellent research skills

Requirements:

• Permitted to work in the UK
• Graduated from a Fashion Design BA course or MA course
• Relevant internship experience
• Have 3 years+ experience working in a high end RTW design team
