Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Business Steering team in Paris or in New York

About the role

You will be part of the Business steering team within the Commercial Strategy and Business performance management team that is responsible for planning and monitoring the sales of Vestiaire collective across the different regions, analyzing the drivers of commercial success and driving business improvement projects. As Business steering senior analyst, you will ensure that we plan, steer, and manage the business performance of your markets in the healthiest and most sustainable way. Using data analytics, you will support strategic decision making for business growth in your markets of responsibility, working hand in hand with the regional teams to do so. You are entrepreneurial, a self-starter, comfortable both working independently as well as collaborating across teams. You are keen to dive head first into a fast-growing, global fashion tech business!

What you'll be doing
  • You will be responsible for the sales planning and forecasting taking into account local commercial activities and different investment areas (e.g. Pricing, Marketing, value proposition, ...) for your respective markets. You will define the short and long-term commercial targets in your markets in close collaboration with the Region VP and several other commercial functions.
  • You will work closely with the Head Business steering, the Market VP and various commercial functions such as Marketing, Supply, CRM and Finance. You will be supporting them with your analytical skills on commercial and strategic topics, as the main business planning and forecasting expert for your markets.
  • You will participate and drive local strategic projects with high commercial impact to support the market's growth.
  • You will monitor the business performance in your markets (with buyer and seller GMV targets as your key KPI), point out and explain deviations and derive commercial recommendations to close performance gaps. Your analysis and recommendations will be shared with the senior leadership team.
  • You will drive competitive intelligence monitoring and will execute cross functional analysis to support trade-off decisions and projects on overarching topics with a direct impact on several parts of the local P&L

Who you are
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience. You have gained 3+ years of work experience in consumer-oriented commercial, financial or highly analytical roles.
  • You are a strategic commercial thinker with impressive analytical skills, attention to details and critical mindset. You have strong technical skills in Excel. Knowledge in SQL and skills in Tableau are strong plus.
  • You have great communication skills and can drive projects with different teams across the organization. You Thrive in a dynamic and fast moving environment.
  • You have a good understanding of the main P&L lines in an ecommerce - retailing environment
  • You are business-fluent in English. French is a plus.
