The Creative Design Team is part of Global Creative Direction acting as an in-house brand design department. The Senior Designer Campaigns, Lead will work directly for the Head of Design, Creative Director to ensure brand attributes, guidelines and mechanics are executed across all global and local campaigns. This role will work closely with our global and local agencies as well as internal Art Directors, Copywriters & Visual Merchandisers; they will be the creative consultant for applied brand-design within campaigns and responsible for overseeing brand enablements across internal stakeholders and external partners. Their brand-guardianship covers creative management of ATL/BTL principle assets delivered within all campaigns; 360° campaign creation across the 17+ Zalando markets. Further they own the enablement of core-brand attributes across print and digital design; will manage global and local design-agency creative; and be responsible for the development of our in-house campaign-design team.

  • Senior Designer evolving brand-design-attributes across all global campaign content, as well as enabling and maintaining guidelines across all local activities.
  • Lead and sparring partner for Campaign-Design Team, elevating and developing a core team of designers supporting global and local campaign deliveries.
  • Elevate visual communications (design) and build up Zalando’s Brand characteristics through a consistent and engaging portfolio: evolving our campaign design system, ownership of technical guidelines for print and digital assets, as well as overseeing motion graphics
  • Manager of our brand design capacity and strategy for all campaigns: staffing design needs across the annual calendar, steering accurate interpretations of our brand by overseeing Principal Asset Decks; and working immersively as well as art directing our external creative agencies (commercial agencies and external design studios).
  • Managing deliverables across internal and external design teams: in-house creative, design studios, global/local commercial agencies, transcreation agencies; as well as managing stakeholder relationships with corresponding expert campaign teams; internal Art Directors, Copywriters, Visual Merchandisers and Designers in DX or other partner teams.
  • Responsible for internal and external brand enablements; presenting our campaign guidelines to our internal and external creative partners for successful 360° campaign deliveries (print and digital)

  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience as a Senior Brand Designer in a creative design team, prior experience in fashion and lifestyle segments are a plus. Minimum 3+ years as lead designer driving creative concepts and/or design teams
  • Contemporary visual-design background with extensive brand, print and digital experience; knowledge of design systems, brand architecture, platform design, SoMe, display, and CRM channels as well as comfortable with image retouch
  • Knowledge in moving pictures and interactive media, such as motion design or video editing
  • Delivery is organized, process-oriented and collaborative; driven with care to quality, as you are an open, positive, flexible, professional team player.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills- verbal, visual, written and presentation
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, including video editing & Sketch
