Job Details
As an intern in the Womenswear Design department at Tiger of Sweden you will work closely with, and be part of the womenswear team.
You will be responsible of assisting the designers in the creation of new designs starting from concept, research and all the way to final product. The way we work at Tiger of Sweden is fast paced and dynamic, fully collaborative and is both hands on, with working on the stand a big part, as well as computer based.
For this internship position we expect you to be available for a minimum of 4 months. The internship is expected to start in November/December 2021.
An idea of tasks are:
- Assist the design team with the day-to-day needs, and participate in the development of the entire creative design process
- Support with the research and picture database, update collection boards and overviews
- Support the designers with 3D stand work, draping and trial sampling
- Communicate and work closely with the different departments
- Prepare development sheets with technical details
- Assist the design team in fitting sessions, prepare presentations and setting up meetings
Desired qualifications:
- BA degree in Fashion Design
- Available for a period of 4-6 months
- Solid knowledge in either womenswear, menswear or accessories design
- Fluency in English language is an essential requirement
- Excellence in Adobe suite is essential, with the ability to use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to a high standard
- Good sewing skills
- An interest in specific finishing techniques and finishing’s for each product category
- A team player with very good communication skills
- Being flexible and at the same time structured and organized
