Job Overview:

The Manager, Project Planning drives the business strategy through the production process for multiple areas of business. The Manager, Project Planning ensures the creation of Bloomingdale's marketing assets and any supporting marketing content that represent our brand image and enforces that merchandise/offers are communicated in an effective way for their team's projects. The ideal candidate maintains a fluid process with cross-functional stakeholders, manage individual projects as well as oversee multiple areas of business.

Essential Functions:
  • Drives strategy to execute marketing assets and content in assigned areas of business. Fields and evaluates all project requests for their areas
  • Works closely with creative, marketing, merchandising, and production groups in the planning, execution, and on-time delivery of marketing assets
  • Sets up and leads kick-off, follow-up, turn-ins and all necessary meetings for specific projects as well as oversees execution for team
  • Oversees a team of Project Planners, with direct responsibility for growth and development

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements:
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
  • Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking
  • Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
  • Frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs.
