Job Overview:

The Senior Assistant Planner partners closely with the Planner to develop location-specific financial plans and recommend strategies for core vendor plans for an assigned area of business. The Senior Assistant Planner will manage a portion of the Planner's total allocation business, including evaluating and reacting to sales trends, managing location inventory levels and replenishment, and driving sales, margin. The Senior Assistant Planner will ensure that the right products are available in the right place at the right time, meeting our customers' expectations while achieving sales and profitability for assigned business.

Essential Functions:
  • Work with Planning Team to execute pre-season financial planning activities for business unit, including creation of all department and vendor plans, daily sales and forecast plans
  • Forecast daily sales and stocks by channel and location to support the ROF process, ensuring appropriate growth rates and inventory is allocated at source of demand
  • Understand how to guide insight and analytics on strategies to drive opportunities and minimize risks for vendors
  • Attend vendor meetings to negotiate plans; advocate for location distribution of brands, items, and expanded replenishment offerings
  • Perform quarterly hindsight analysis in partnership with Planning team to inform future strategy

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
