Job Overview:

The Gross Margin Planner creates seasonal plans with the partnership of the Merchandise Buyers and Planners in order to achieve profit margins. The Gross Margin Planner provides monthly reviews of the buyers' forecasts as well as ad hoc support. The Gross Margin Planner will be responsible for helping with the old age management process, recapping Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology charges, planning system access updates, and hierarchy updates.

Essential Functions:
  • Analyze and publish OCS workroom, freight, shortage and employee discount targets for the upcoming season
  • Analyze submitted plans and write plan commentaries
  • Partner with merchants to ensure they understand the planning/forecasting system and troubleshoot issues
  • Create monthly Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology charge reports and perform true up at end of season
  • Responsible for updating PACE (planning system) access requests


Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Knowledge of MS Office computer programs are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
