JOB PURPOSE

Burberry is looking for an experienced, self-motivating and driving IT Project Manager to manage the delivery of multiple projects and/or workstreams in the Merchandising, Planning and Allocation space. The ideal candidate will be provided the unique opportunity to develop their knowledge of the luxury fashion sector through exposure across our business.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Project Manager capable of handling multiple projects and workstreams concurrently.

You will work with a talented and dedicated team in an environment with a great culture. The work is fast paced and challenging with scope for learning new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage projects from inception through to delivery across the full life cycle of project.
  • Managing the day-to-day relationship with key stakeholders.
  • Playing to the Agile "Scrum Master" role if the project is more Agile in nature.
  • Manage the RFP process for selecting potential vendors / partners.
  • Work closely alongside the Product Owner, Solution Architect and wider project team to translate complex requirements into a deliverable plan.
  • Collaborate and facilitate amongst other PMs across the Portfolio.
  • Provide feedback, and produce weekly status reports, RAID logs and Financial Trackers into the Portfolio by partnering closely with Senior Portfolio Manager to ensure project governance and best practises are followed.
  • Create detailed project plans / timelines and manage activities daily.
  • Ensure project plans are fully integrated across all delivery teams.
  • Agree and adhere to a Project Governance structure and run regular meetings in agreed cadence.
  • Run daily meetings / stand-ups with the delivery teams.
  • Plan timings, assess risks and communicate status to stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Manage stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Provide an environment for an open, transparent, high-performing and agile team to deliver .


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Demonstrable experience of multiple End-to-End Project Lifecycles.
  • Demonstrable experience of running projects in multiple ways (waterfall, agile and hybrid).
  • Experience in running and managing RFPs.
  • Ability to drive great team performance during delivery is critical.
  • Strong ability to work with teams in a collaborative manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding of both functional and non-functional IT.
  • Comfortable owning relationships with external parties.
  • Can work autonomously with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience with scope control and management.
  • Have experience delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Self-motivated, creative, passionate and able to acclimate in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Pro-active.
  • Sifts information and selects what is significant.
  • Clarifies understanding by asking questions and probing carefully.
  • Strong judgement - with willingness to take responsibility for project decisions.
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business settings.
  • Demonstrated interest in the creative industries, retail or consumer goods.


DESIRABLE
  • Experience with Manufacturing / Sustainability.
  • Familiarity and appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of technologies including FLEX PLM, SAP AFS, SAP RETAIL.
  • Interest in Creative Industry, Retail or Consumer Goods.
  • Background of Management Consulting.
  • Experience multi system data integration.
  • Formal Agile training / certification.
  • Formal PMP training / certification.
