Digital Samples Assistant Manager (1-year Maternity Cover)

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting into the Commercial wing of Burberry, the role is to provide Assistant Management to the Digital Samples Manager and to the Digital Samples team. This role will be responsible for managing the Coordinators as well as the Administrator.

The Assistant Manager will also have a key part in the day to day running of the Digital Samples office as well as ensuring that all Coordinators and Assistants are aligned.

Key reporting for budgets will be required, as well as attending senior stakeholder meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with order management and digital merchandising operations in aligning order books with order deadline
• Manging the DS Administrator at the start of season with ensuring Production order deadline are met and all orders are placed correctly
• Overseeing and supporting change in production meetings and input into Flo are met for order deadline with key stakeholders
• Reviewing seasonal order to split orders between production and hub orders.
• Liaising with digital merchandising operations in ensuring all range drafts are in ahead of additions and cancellations deadline
• Manging the hub ordering process and ensuring weekly in stock materials have been pulled in the office
• Managing the yearly re-sampling budget of £150,000
• Assist DS manager in storage walk throughs to ensure sample management best practice is followed
• Drive the processes within DS team
• Support the DS Manager in critical path and calendar planning

PERSONAL PROFILE

• Previous experience in a similar role, within luxury fashion preferred
• Experience of managing a team
• Ability to manage multiple work flows and achieve a high standard

• Excellent Team player who is Passionate about Burberry, Products and the Fashion industry
• Will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in their positive attitude and conduct
• Excellent rapport building skills with all levels of Management
• Experience of working under pressure in a fast paced environment and tight deadlines
• Interest or background in digital commerce and content delivery
• Ability to communicate effectively in meetings as well as written
