MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: 

The Account Director is part of senior management and is able to autonomously devise and deliver PR strategies, fully manages the client relationship, and is responsible for generating all PR outcomes for clients within their team. The Account Director supports the Agency Founder and Agency Directors in their roles, including pitching for new business if required.

MAIN TASKS OF THE JOB: 


Ability to leverage senior-level contact base to secure designer features and large PR opportunities, including VIP endorsements.

Builds and executes all communications strategies for existing clients as well as contributing to new business proposals.

Team Management - leads the Account Manager and Junior Account Executive in all areas, managing multiple accounts at one time and ensuring deadlines are met. 

Offers professional development support, monitoring, and performance review.

Has expert knowledge and experience of working on press events and fashion activations both online/in-person.

Reporting - responsible for written and visual reports as well analysis of press coverage - across Print, Online & Social. Able to use measuring tools & platforms to report and make recommendations on EMV, ADV, engagement, reach, etc.

Contributing to the general management of the office and ensuring the responsibilities of junior team members are met.

Contribute to the weekly meetings and provide an overview of the media landscape of printed, digital and social coverage, called the “publication review”.

Leads their team in achieving the targets set by or for current clients.

As well as managing their normal extended portfolio of clients, be able to deliver ad hoc projects throughout the year such as events.

Manages their teams holiday requests and other leave days.

This is a dynamic role and the above is not an exhaustive list of duties.  The Account Director is expected to lead and manage existing clients as well as different projects and tasks necessitated by the overall business objectives of the agency.
