A little bit about the role

We are looking for an undergraduate to join our Apparel function for an exciting 13-month placement starting in July 2022. Working with the Technical Team and working alongside a creative team of designers and developers, your mission will be to help create world-class Gymshark sportswear.   

We have 3 Apparel Product Development Student Placement opportunities. 

What you’ll be doing
You will gain experience in the following areas: 

• Assist Garment Tech in fit meetings – take notes/pictures and upload into Product Lifecycle Management system   
• Learn how to monitor and update Development Critical Path – request updates from suppliers on sample status   
• Assist with development samples   
• Learn how to organise and create inventory for sample storage room   
• Support on the coordination of suppliers’ completed Tech packs with factory comments   
• Assist team in wearer trial process. Distribute samples and wearer trial forms and collate feedback   
• Work with the Fabric Development Team to understand fabric approval process and ensure appropriate testing is approved for garment development   
• Carry out research projects for the team, such as:  Compression fit Comparison, Legging Fit Comparison 

What you’ll need

• Working towards an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study     
• Passion for sportswear design    
• Knowledge of activewear and the needs of the consumer   
• Commercial awareness combined with a creative mind-set    
• Prepared to help with any task – teamwork is key   
• Ability to plan and manage time effectively   
• Effective communication skills  
• Ability to work independently and in team environment

What happens next?

If your application is successful, you'll be invited to take part in a video screening and if successful, you'll be invited to an in person assessment day. Our assessment days will be held at Gymshark HQ, Solihull, UK at the beginning of December.

Placement is for 13 months from July 2022.
