A little bit about the role

When you work for us, you’re more than a placement student– you join our rapidly expanding Gymshark family. We give people the tools they need to reach further, go faster and be the best version of themselves. We work hard, sure, but we have fun while we do it. Sound like you?       

We are looking for an undergraduate to join our Sourcing function for an exciting 13-month placement starting in July 2022.  This placement year will allow personal growth and understanding of Gymshark’s sustainable supply chain.  

What you’ll be doing
You will gain experience in the following areas: 

Day-to-day    

• Assist in the onboarding and exiting of vendors   
• Learn how to keep administrative and information systems up to date, creating reports and collating data from multiple sources   
• Assist with planning for travel, meetings, workshops/training sessions and other events run by the team   
• Contributing ideas and feedback to support continuous development of the team     

Sourcing      

• Support on the maintenance of the new vendors sample library    
• Assist with research and learn how to maintain reports on external influence that could affect Sourcing regions and interrupt Gymshark's global Supply Chain    
• Support the sourcing team in ensuring on time delivery of the global sourcing strategy.   
• Build and maintain close relationships within our global regional sourcing offices and other product teams such as Sustainability, Materials, Product Development, Product Management 
• Support the sourcing team in investigating new potential vendors and sourcing regions   

    Demonstrate     

• Learn and develop an understanding the commercial impact of sourcing decisions made within the critical path    
• Develop confidence in decision making  

What you’ll need

• Confident working with high volumes of data   
• Strong attention to detail   
• An experienced and highly competent user of Microsoft Excel, able to use advanced formulas, lookups, and pivot tables for reporting   
• Someone eager to commence a career in sourcing   
• Able to cope with the pressures of working within a fast-paced environment   
• A great communicator who is comfortable liaising with various departments and colleagues   
• Effective communication skills 
• Ability to work independently and in team environment  
• Ability to plan and manage time effectively

What happens next?

If your application is successful, you'll be invited to take part in a video screening and if successful, you'll be invited to an in person assessment day. Our assessment days will be held at Gymshark HQ, Solihull, UK at the beginning of December. 

Job applications open on 11th October 2021 and close on 24th October 2021.  

Placement is for 13 months from July 2022.
