JOB PURPOSE

Manage raw materials, metal hardware and component seasonal orders to suppliers, ensuring that the purchasing strategy is applied and developed, while monitoring existing materials stock and raw materials excess.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Aligned with purchasing short and medium term strategy, procure materials/components for the season and the specific event, working with Supply Planning and product supply for guidance on production demand.
  • Contribute to effective procurement in line with company policies .
  • Execute the placement of RM activities in line with the procurement critical path
  • Provide seasonal materials flows to the Manager to anticipate production flow into warehouses
  • Effectively and proactively use of company tools to ensure that data accuracy is maintained.
  • Build and control Supplier capacity plans
  • Analyse demand requirements to identify bottle necks and recommend actions for resolution
  • Manage supplier capacity and highlight capacity constraints with a problem-solving attitude
  • Visit suppliers/vendors regularly to assess capabilities and assist/flag in the resolution of issues to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyse the order placement post markets,
  • Provide regular reporting and visibility of production progress and stock levels, to minimise excess
  • Negotiate production plan with the supplier and hand over consolidated/confirmed plan
  • Manage a suite of reports, from weekly update to yearly/seasonal overviews
  • Execute the pre buy placement across the supplier base in line with forecasts and approval process on pre buy tool Excel and Bookit
  • Ensure pre buys are accurately documented and updated with any changes on pre buy tool (BookIt)
  • Track & monitor timely RM deliveries in line with allocation and priority
  • Anticipate procurement or supply issues and expedite
  • Support supplier performance management feedback & suggest appropriate response mechanism & action in accordance with guidance from Senior Team.
  • Capacity booking negotiation
  • Collect and analyse suppliers service level performance
  • Partner with materials development team and materials engineering team to understand readiness to release orders to suppliers
  • Is informed about production issues and report changes to product supply team on OTD impacts and critical path
  • Monitor and report overall materials and components stock level and left over/excess


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Knowledge of materials/component processes, suppliers netowrk
  • Advanced Excel skills - SAP would be a plus
  • Italian preferred but not essential
