Job Details

As one of the Program Managers supporting agency partnerships at Shopify, you will help build Shopify's new agency partner program, and optimize existing program infrastructure for accelerated, scalable, and global commercial growth. We are looking for someone to join our team who thinks differently about problems and is a self starter, passionate about making commerce better together with our agency partners.

At Shopify, program management is a hands-on role. You will work with Engineering, Data, Marketing, Partner Managers, and other teams in Ecosystem to help build our vision for agency partners. This means managing a cohesive and programmatic journey for our partners, with the long-term goal of enabling and amplifying our agency partner impact on the merchant journey within the Shopify Ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Support the build, management and ongoing maintenance of Shopify's agency partner program
  • Champion cross-functional projects from inception to completion, and share learnings across regions
  • Support the development of new partner program features and incentives models
  • Optimize and support the growth of the agency partner funnel
  • Support, influence and help navigate the product roadmap for agency partners in Shopify's partner dashboard
  • Identify ways to evolve internal/external processes to increase program efficiency, develop new best practices, and experiment with new revenue streams
  • Support partner program strategy, while developing prioritization, driving visibility on what's being working on, timelines, and risks, so that leadership, partner marketing, support, and the rest of Shopify know what's shipping, by when, and for whom
  • Work with regional partnership teams to improve the scalability and success of our partner business

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has:
  • Experience in business development or program management
  • A proven history of planning and executing highly dependent strategic initiatives
  • Strong relationship management skills, with proven experience interacting with a diverse group of technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working with analytics and making data informed decisions
  • Experience with data pipelines and tooling infrastructure such as Salesforce
  • The ability to define and prioritize initiatives while working cross-functionally, and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • A love for storytelling
  • Adaptability to a rapidly growing, constantly changing environment
  • Strong knowledge of the ecommerce landscape as well as Shopify's partner ecosystem
  • Has built a toolkit of different practices to help teams succeed, and is able to adapt those practices to suit a variety of circumstances. For example:
    • Breaking down work (e.g. user stories, job stories)
    • Sizing work (e.g. story points, t-shirt sizing, relative sizing)
    • Planning work (e.g. sprint planning, stack ranking, relative prioritization)
    • Managing meetings effectively
    • Conducting meaningful retrospectives
    • Tracking progress and understanding when teams are blocked

Experience comes in many forms, many skills are transferable, and passion goes a long way. If your experience is close to what we're looking for, consider applying. We know that diversity of thought makes for the best problem-solving and creative thinking, which is why we're dedicated to adding new perspectives to the team and encourage everyone to apply.

Closing date: Thursday October 27,(11:59PM EDT).
