About the Role

In this role, you will create content that highlights our people, culture and values. You will serve as a storyteller and marketing lead who can ideate creative moments that matter and bring them to life for our current and future employees across our Global HQ functions and Digital & Technology teams. The successful candidate will align Talent Acquisition needs with Company Comms priorities to amplify our employee value proposition across talent markets. You will maintain knowledge of current and emerging marketing, brand, and recruitment trends including brand-reputation management, social media management, events and partnerships while keeping one eye towards new, innovative ways of communicating and marketing our brand to target audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Support and help define the development of an effective, integrated global employer brand program, supporting roadmap and overall marketing plan and vision.
  • Liaise with communications team on storytelling, speaking, event and paid media opportunities that highlight key growth areas of our company including GapTech, Strategic Growth Office, and Digital Transformation Office. You will market these key function areas to prospective employees as if they were products.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including HR and internal leaders to manage the development of creative and informative employer brand content such as messaging architecture, brochures, web copy, email CRM campaigns, presentations and videos.
  • Get to know the target audience landscape, relevant industry events and key media outlets to ensure Gap Inc. has a presence, where beneficial.
  • Seek out creative on-brand stories about our culture (people, volunteer efforts, professional development) for amplification across our owned channels and career-focused social channels.
  • Lead a team through annual goal and objective setting and keep stakeholders updated on strategies, goals, and progress within each priority function area. Advise and consult stakeholders on talent attraction challenges and develop solutions to overcome.
  • Constantly curate trends and best practices to inform marketing plans, understanding the tech and digital landscaping and how talent needs and desires change as well as opportunities to create new experiences and tactics to reach this target segment


Who You Are

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in employer brand, brand marketing, content marketing, public relations, partnership management or communications
  • Passionate about employee culture and experience, and bringing it to life for prospective talent
  • Excellent writing and communications skills and experience developing a messaging framework
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills
  • Experience with external communications, targeted email marketing, social and digital media, and global marketing
  • Proven record in leading corporate social media strategy development and execution, including recruitment-based communication; experience tracking growth and ROI
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the gravitas to work effectively with a wide range of internal clients and partners of varying levels of seniority.
