Job Details
The DTC Inventory Control Manager is an important member of the Omnichannel Experience & Operations team. The DTC IC Manager works closely with the Senior Manager of Omnichannel Operations as well as the Buying & Planning, Logistics & IT teams to ensure inventory accuracy in all physical and virtual inventory locations. This is a critical role in supporting client experience teams in both retail and customer service through inventory accuracy but also in helping the brand realize product strategies through constant oversight of product movement and inventory reporting.
Key Objectives
- Ensure the timeliness and integrity of DTC inventory movements across warehouses and stores, communicating with all partners and ensuring accuracy in physical locations
- Responsible for execution and reconciliation of monthly retail cycle counts and annual physical inventory process across stores and warehouses
- Build on existing inventory control processes and recommend new processes where needed
Responsibilities
- Work with logistics teams to ensure allocations into DTC inventory system are received without issue
- Review and reconcile WMS and OMS systems daily to ensure stock is balanced and accurate in all DTC warehouses between virtual locations
- Act as inventory point person for finance inquiries into OH counts, inventory movements and audits
- Prepare stock movement imports for all global purchase orders and stock transfers
- Review weekly in-transit transfers and communicate with receiving locations to ensure goods are received into locations accurately and on time
- Partner with Operations and Buying & Planning to reserve inventory for future store openings or brand events
- Audit and reconcile all physical location inventory reservations, including but not limited to: client holds, new store opening inventory, dry-cleaning or out of store owned inventory
- Oversee store and customer service stock adjustment processes
- Partner with store operations team members and warehouses to resolve receiving discrepancies, ensuring final received inventory is accurate
- Communicate and oversee DTC physical inventory process in stores and in warehouses (in partnership with logistics), ensuring all pre-inventory deliverables are achieved and optimal final inventory posting occurs
- Partner with Buying & Planning and Logistics teams on end of season inventory consolidation back to DTC warehouses
- Support corporate department requests for DTC inventory once approved by Buying & Planning
- Oversee monthly store divisional cycle counts, partnering with store operation team members to reconcile and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare consolidated inventory control dashboards with the IT Business Intelligence team to provide ongoing reporting of all DTC OH by location, transfers, reserves, stock adjustments, etc
Competencies
- highly proficient in excel
- familiar with order management and warehouse management platforms
- logistics/customs experience a plus, not required
- highly organized & creative problem solver
- high level (multi-store or high-volume flagship) inventory operations experience a plus, not required
- able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate to regional teams across time zones; as well as available for morning/evening calls to support China teams
- proactive and detailed communication skills
Experience
- 3-5 relevant experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Management, Order Management, Logistics, Stock Supervision, Buying/Planning/Allocation Analysis
