The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for following the best practices that support sales/margin plans and inventory productivity. They will drive the pre-season planning and analysis of multiple UA brands ensuring that the right product and quantity arrive at the right time to support the merchandising strategy.

This role will also analyze the in-season business of sales, inventory, and margins and communicate to management when opportunities or adjustments need to be made. Must have strong communication skills across multi-functional teams to drive results.

Overview

 

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for following the best practices that support sales/margin plans and inventory productivity. They will drive the pre-season planning and analysis of multiple UA brands ensuring that the right product and quantity arrive at the right time to support the merchandising strategy.

This role will also analyze the in-season business of sales, inventory, and margins and communicate to management when opportunities or adjustments need to be made. Must have strong communication skills across multi-functional teams to drive results.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sourcing and other departments to manage inventory
  • Develop best practices to align responsibilities to the overall merchandising strategy
  • End-to-end management of demand planning, including in-stock levels
  • Place initial orders within depth color and size analysis
  • Prepare, report, and communicate forecasts and inventory measurements to management
  • Communicate with vendors, warehouse, and other associates to ensure merchandise is delivered on time
  • Monitor SKU levels and recommended SKU rationalization initiatives in the future
  • Support the planning and deliverables for key milestone and strategy meetings
  • Collaborate with B2B sales team to align orders and communicate inventory strategy

 Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in planning principles. Demand planning, product life-cycle planning, retail fundamentals, or financial planning
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and pivot with ease and flexibility
  • Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Astute attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication
  • Understanding of the supply/demand planning drivers
  • Bachelors’ degree required.
