As Senior Marketing Manager for Germany, you will be the voice of the region for our North American and wider European teams. You will be fluent in written and spoken German and be part of the leadership team driving growth and impact in Germany and the broader DACH region. More specifically, you will be responsible for crafting our go-to-market and marketing strategy in Germany, in a B2B marketing role.

You will be responsible for deeply understanding our merchants, the needs of the market, segmentation, and translating this into an executable strategy that drives demand. As part of the EMEA marketing team, you will work collaboratively across demand generation, partnerships, field marketing, product marketing and content marketing to build community and drive brand awareness, growth and retention.

This is the first marketing hire in Germany so you'll be building the foundations in one of our key countries and passionately advocating for the needs of local customers. This is a critical hire for our business to turbo-charge growth in the region. We need someone who can build relationships cross-functionally and across time zones, understand the business quickly and is an independent thinker and problem solver. This role has the potential to grow into a leadership role and manage a team and substantial budget.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute a local integrated marketing strategy in collaboration with the EMEA and global marketing teams.
  • Drive merchant acquisition by partnering with the appropriate functions including growth, GTM, demand generation, data, sales and more.
  • Own what "localisation" means in Germany, striking the balance between net-new marketing and leveraging existing activities to meet our merchants' needs.
  • Understanding of market positioning and how to work within brand guardrails while catering to local markets. This includes staying informed by building strong relationships with marketing, sales, support, partners and merchants.
  • Leverage data to optimize campaigns, and inform and influence decision-making in collaboration with business partners.


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of tech marketing experience (ideally in SAAS) and proven abilities in being able to build, develop, and manage a diverse marketing portfolio (demand gen, partner marketing, operations, content, field, etc.)
  • Native German speaker currently living in Germany.
  • Experience executing field marketing activations in Germany and mainland Europe.
  • Have worked with HQ as a subsidiary and understand how best to leverage at-scale programs, including campaigns.
  • Experience working with diverse sales teams, building strong rapport and partnerships.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in different geographies.
