In your role as Executive Project Manager, you will work hand-in-hand with the Chief People Officer and the P&O leadership team on managing the P&O function and driving strategic priorities for the company. Working on a broad set up of topics will provide you with opportunities to demonstrate and further develop your project management and stakeholder management skills as well as strategic thinking and problem solving skills. You will be involved in high impact initiatives such as shaping the future of work, building a diverse and inclusive culture and transforming P&O services to drive operational excellence and a great employee experience.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Managing selected strategic projects in P&O together with expert teams and in close collaboration with the CPO and the P&O leadership team. Depending on the project, involvement can vary from a steering role (PMO) to contributing to or even leading the solution development and implementation work
  • Supporting the CPO with adhering to their daily business, in preparing and following up on appointments or working on communication formats; ensuring meetings are well prepared and keeping an eye on the agenda and deliverables
  • Being the central point of contact in central management processes (e.g., quarterly reviews, operational plan) that affect various departments
  • Independently structuring and preparing written materials, including researching and analyzing data
  • Liaising with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Coordinating the P&O leadership team e.g. preparing and running regular meetings, driving the annual strategic planning process
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including experience in writing Board-level documents
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities and an agile environment. Ability to take initiative, understand deadlines and carry multiple projects at the same time with limited guidance
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with multiple stakeholders; experience working with senior leadership is a plus
  • Previous experience as a chief of staff, PMO or management consultant an advantage
  • Functional knowledge in HR is an advantage but not required
  • Hands-on attitude with a growth mindset; a willingness to jump in and get involved where needed, and comfort working with ambiguity is important; representing Zalando’s leadership principles (OFM)
