Shopify has big international ambitions. To get there, we're driving hard across the Growth and partnering with our Revenue teams to accelerate acquisition, build awareness, and lay the groundwork for our future Shopify flywheel through Partnerships and Plus.

Our Content Lead, LATAM will oversee and execute content strategies and pipelines for our LATAM markets, with particular attention to Mexico and Brazil, while working with the Revenue team to support a full merchant journey, from first sale to full scale.

You are the point person for offering advice on content governance and market approach, while ensuring brand integrity and consistency across our LATAM teams and multiple content pipelines. You will manage a team that is passionate about delivering on highly visible projects and processes that contribute to an exceptional merchant experience. In a complex and evolving organization, you will own the alignment between the Growth team's LATAM content initiatives and the Revenue team's business requirements in the region.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Lead a team of content managers and freelancers responsible for identifying trending content, amplifying merchant success, and improving the content on Shopify blogs and brochures across LATAM markets.
  • Work with localization, engineering, creative, and post-production regional stakeholders to develop, localize, and execute content strategies for customer journeys and marketing funnels on blog and brochure properties.
  • Adapt relevant domestic content marketing materials, positioning, and campaign elements for our international needs
  • Own team successes and failures, ensure that contractors are adhering to best practices, and consolidate information into actionable feedback and reporting.
  • Work directly with cross-functional teams, leveraging your content expertise to lead strategic initiatives across departments.
  • Present trends and analysis to the broader Shopify growth team, serving as a leader and spokesperson for LATAM content initiatives.
  • Analyze and understand content engagement data to develop actionable insights in partnership with regional content managers.
  • Manage external vendors to ensure they create content that meets Shopify's quality standards and performs to its fullest potential while adhering to established timelines and production goals.
  • Help identify opportunities for the optimization of existing content and production of new content to drive organic growth.
  • Report on performance and make strategic recommendations for long-term growth and user retention.
  • Understand the cultural nuances and needs of our diverse LATAM audience and have a solid track record of creating inclusive content.


  • Demonstrable experience and ability to lead a team of craft experts and assist with meeting deadlines and performance related goals while staying tightly aligned with regional teams and business objectives.
  • Content management experience with a record for prioritizing what matters most to and performs best for the business.
  • Creative, solution-oriented, hardworking, and analytical mindset.
  • A deep understanding of local expectations and trends.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding SEO and web-based content KPIs as they pertain to conversion and the ability to drive and grow business in local markets.
