As Head of Buying you will take full ownership of the Mens apparel strategy across our Modern and Lifestyle clusters which includes strategic brand partners such as Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Nike Sportswear and TNF.

The role is based in Berlin, Germany.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
  • Owning the commercial strategy incorporating all elements of the Platform ecosystem for the Mens Apparel Modern and Lifestyle Clusters. You will be responsible for delivering profitable results, owning processes and delivering best practice. You will ensure all new brand opportunities are maximized, risks are minimized and you will ensure appropriate actions are taken by the team in both situations.
  • The success of this department is your responsibility. You drive and encourage communication with the team and you are overall responsible for the Mens Apparel Modern and Lifestyle Clusters.
  • Driving strong leadership. We are looking for an expert who can motivate and develop the team, setting your team up for success. You are able to structure your team effectively according to their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Maximizing relationships is second nature to you. You can build strong relationships with all your key stakeholders and you are influential when you need to be. You are clear and concise with your communication and you can drive vision and strategy with your team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Looking for a solid Business profile with 7-10 years of work experience, ideally you have a good understanding of the multi brand environment as well as both wholesale and platform business models
  • An entrepreneurial mindset that is capable of understanding the developed vision and concrete strategic action plan to realize the Mens Category vision and drive it forward
  • Leading people is your passion, you are able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively through your strategic communication style and are reliable when it comes to getting things done. You are only as good as your team. You pride yourself in your leadership skills, especially leading a large talented team.
  • Being motivated and structured in very dynamic and fast-paced environments. You embrace change and are always on the hunt for solutions. You have excellent English skills, and communicate clearly with varied stakeholders.
  • Presenting to large groups both internally and externally, and perfecting your pitch is second nature to you.
  • Strong Negotiation skills ensuring a commercially viable and profitable business across all channels. Strong strategic thinking skills and expertise at spotting trends and brave enough to take strategic decisions that are based on this
