Job Details

Rainbowwave PR seeks an eager, forward-thinking Senior Account Executive/Account Manager with a minimum of three- four years’ experience in public relations and an extensive working knowledge of the industry to join their team.

Reporting directly into the agency’s Account Director and Directors, the candidate should be able to work well within a small, fast-paced team as well as having the ability to work independently on projects and events where necessary.

The candidate would handle all day to day media pitching and will proactively seek out engaging opportunities for their brands, either through collaborations, partnerships or media opportunities. They will be responsible for producing consistent editorial on behalf of their clients and will oversee their team assistants/interns to ensure effective sample management. 

The desired candidate is organised, efficient and driven, ideally with Fashion Week and event experience with a strong database of media contacts. They should also be passionate and enthusiastic and have the willingness and ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

The candidate must be at an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive level and previous agency experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  •  Work hand-in-hand with account team
  • Manage account activity and client interaction, driving the day-to-day running and enhancing productivity
  • Oversee and manage account assistants/interns
  • Develop thoughtful proactive mailers and pitches
  • Responsible for client reporting via comprehensive status and sample traffic reports
  • Responsible for collating product, shopping & editorial credits across national and global media
  • Maintaining strong relationships with a broad set of press contacts, stylists, and influencers across the fashion media spectrum
  • Conduct/manage showroom appointments and seasonal lookbook distribution
  • Identify VIP/Influencer dressing and potential collaboration opportunities
  • Lead and participate in any/all agency events and Fashion Week responsibilities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 3-4 years (full time) experience at a public relations agency or in-house
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Experience with Fashion GPS
  • Ability to manage up and down while being productive, resourceful, working independently and taking initiative
  • Confident & skilled in client liaison from assistant through to the CEO of a company and with hosting meetings with editors, retailers and possible partners.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to pitch new and interesting angles and story ideas to journalists and clients
  • Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with wide range of traditional press and social media platforms
  • Excellent digital awareness and expertise - relationships with digital media and influencers
  • Good media and stylist contacts and ability to secure coverage on behalf of clients 
  • Event/Fashion Week experience
  • Experience in other territories is a bonus 

Language skills:

  • English, Native or bilingual proficiency
  • Other languages a bonus
