As Team Lead Operations Germany (m/f/d) for Zalando Premium Logistics (ZPL), you will drive the operational execution of the premium logistics delivery platform in Germany. As the operational owner, you will oversee more than 30 delivery areas covering over 100 cities across the country. In addition, through continuous process development and operational excellence, your team will be able to deliver a great delivery experience to our customers at competitive costs. As a leader in this role, you will manage a team of four Delivery Operations Managers that will grow significantly in the future.

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

Enable the Germany Operations team to efficiently and effectively manage their operational responsibilities.
Ensure that we can meet the demand for premium logistics and achieve our profitability and quality targets by working closely with the a broad range of logistics service providers
Scale your Operations area as we expand geographically, deploy new logistics partners, replace or adapt local infrastructure, develop processes and implement additional service components.
Use your strong communication skills (German, English) to ensure smooth operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

University degree in business, engineering or logistics
>10 years of professional experience and problem solving skills in logistics and operational issues
Good understanding of e-commerce ecosystems. Knowledge of the last mile environment is a plus
>5 years of experience leading cross-functional project teams and/or small teams.
Initiative, good judgment, collaboration, understanding of deadlines and competence to work on multiple tasks and under pressure until completion
Excellent communication skills in English and German
