JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinate and fulfill Tory's wardrobe requests + source merchandise nationally and internationally
  • Shop/source requests through stores (physical, online), press offices, vintage outlets, studio services, or through personal archive and TB brand
  • Attend local vintage fairs, and continuously build relationships with vendors
  • Meet w/ Tory and Tory's office regularly about wardrobe needs + events schedule
  • Schedule fittings with both internal and external tailors. Collaborate with tailors during fittings on specific needs and ensure alterations are done properly
  • Regularly show Tory new products and facilitate all research on new brands, market research etc.
  • Work with design team to create custom pieces for Tory. Present extensive design research and source vintage inspiration for: Met Gala, CFDA, personal events, custom seasonal styling pieces, etc.
  • Monitor spending and accurate invoicing, primarily with fittings
  • Style out, photograph, and pack all looks for trips and shoots- with team's help
  • Establish Tory's 'Seasonal Looks- highlighting important pieces from each collection and make sure they are styled/ shot
  • Find unique ways to style new seasonal pieces, and create an identifiable style for Tory
  • Assist and coordinate with creative team in creating shot lists and fulfilling marketing requests for shoots.
  • Collaborate + partner with internal teams (PR, Editorial, E-Comm) for styling + photoshoot needs
  • Gather inspiration + develop new ideas each season to implement into Tory's wardrobe
  • Staying abreast on trends and implementing them seamlessly into Tory's wardrobe
  • Continuously edit personal wardrobe, and oversee that all closets are kept refreshed and organized
  • Overseeing packing for Tory's trips (both personal/work trips)
  • Run necessary errands, execute returns, pickup from tailor, and coordinate messengers when needed
  • Continuously monitor Tory's calendar to ensure the team is up to date with schedule changes
  • Create + update regularly the team calendar on white board
  • Maintain organization of closet supplies, hallway racks, 8th floor closet and closet on 11
  • Regularly organize and put away personal garments at the Pierre (steam, check for stains etc.)
  • Assist with pack (steam, shoot looks, packing garments in clear bags, placing tissue paper in shoes/bags)
  • Steam and prep wardrobe for shoots, interviews, television, editorials (make sure garments are photo ready)
  • Assist with shopping, market, and image research
  • Prep for trip styling by researching weather, studying itinerary, and printing location images.
  • Assist Manager by making sure all shopping needs + pull requests are met
  • Help to build relationships, and communicate with, various vendors/ stores for consignment
