Product Manager - Style Advice

The Style Advice - Zalon team aims to deliver the best of fashion advice to all Zalando customers, offering a human connection and creating meaningful interactions that drive engagement and support customers along their journey.

Each product manager is expected to partner with an engineering manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of people to solve problems and have an impact for both Zalando and our customers. This role reports to the Head of Product.

The team is working on a new product launch on Zalando Fashion Store in 2022 for offering style advice through stylist experts

You will also become part of Zalando's product community where you can grow your skills and network and contribute to Zalando's product management best practice.
  • Develop and deliver initiatives core to Zalando's mission to become the starting point for fashion
  • Unique opportunity to build new propositions around inspiration and test the value of these for Customer Lifetime Value (CLV)
  • Develop ideas and pitch for further investment/team growth
  • Work with a strong, well established applied science team which puts machine learning at the heart of what we do
  • Evident passion for solving customer problems through an empathetic, in depth understanding of their needs and underlying motivations
  • 3+ years experience in Product Management, including experience with leading teams to deliver high profile/impact consumer facing products
  • Evidence of ability to develop creative solutions and deliver them to a high standard
  • Excellent communicator who understands different audiences (engineering, business, leadership) and adapts own communication style as needed
  • Strong English writing and storytelling skills (for Press releases, narratives) / can convey ideas and plans in a concise and compelling way
  • Experience with customer research and validating products through customer feedback. Experience may include journey mapping or make vs. buy analysis.
  • Experience working with design and engineering teams and evidence of ability to build strong relationships to bring people together to get things done
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience using data and metrics to identify opportunities, test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success
  • Personal traits: deal with ambiguity, team player, positivity, think big act fast, act like an owner
  • Experience of collaborating with data science teams
