JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this role is to support the Inbound/Transportation operation by managing the incoming freight, minimizing delays and meet SLAs. To collect and analyse transportation information and prepare monthly reports and PowerPoints.

This position also includes management of Coordinating special shipment projects with multiple divisions within Burberry.

To assist the Secondary Transportation team in Cost control & Carrier Performance; Cost Simulation & Budget; proactively analyse, propose and drive alternatives for the creation of productivity options and processes re-engineering within Transportation; Data analysis and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with external vendors and internal customers.
  • Follow up and follow through with discrepancies on shipments.
  • Review manifest to ensure minimal delivery delays.
  • Work with Customs Broker to clear issues
  • Create customs-related documents for ad-hoc shipments.
  • Run reports to review the shipments pending goods receipt and investigate the cause of delay
  • Collect and compile transportation data
  • Generate monthly reports
  • Work with carriers to obtain the best cost and service on nonproduct shipments
  • Manage nonproduct shipments from origin to destination
  • Carrier Claims


PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Two to three years logistics experience preferably in all Mode of Transportation (Sea/Road and air freight)
  • Retail/ 3PL- 4PL industry experience preferred - Export of CITES regulated goods is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is an asset
  • Advanced excel/numerical and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications
