Job Description:

Support and assist the technical design team.

  • Schedule and coordinate pre-fit agenda with models, design team and sample room
  • Maintain flow chart of all sew-by samples and patterns passed from development team
  • Monitor progress of released patterns and follow up with sample room on completion of protos
  • Check in and receive all production fit samples
  • Organize Production fittings, schedule fit time and prepare list of garments to fit
  • Assist in preparing proto samples for development fitting: measure, steam, iron
  • Track all model expenses for fitting budget
  • Assist tech designers in comparing counter samples to original showroom samples and highlight any inconsistencies to TD prior to fitting
  • Participate in fittings: take notes as well as general and detailed photos
  • Assist with fit comments and approval process
  • Maintain follow-up chart for all CS, PPS and TOP sample status and approval
  • Proactively track overseas packages and estimate fit dates based on expected package arrival.
  • Follow-up with factories on anticipated CSs, PPs and TOPs.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with overseas factories regarding fit comments and fit status
  • Follow up with factories about sample sending status to adhere to calendar and meet production deadlines
  • Measure and review all TOP samples and present to senior TD, director and production team

Requirements

  • 0-2 years industry experience
  • Strong team player
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Organized, accurate and articulate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design / Technical Design / Patternmaking a plus
  •             *** we are open to candidates from other areas (not fashion)
  • Understanding of garment engineering, construction, pattern-making and sewing a plus
  • Working knowledge of Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus
  • Knowledge of RLM and Gerber a plus
