Tittle: Site Merchandising/Ecommerce Assistant

Reports to: Director of Ecommerce & Digital Marketing

The Site Merchandising/Ecommerce Assistant is responsible for executing visual merchandising and UX strategies on Marahoffman.com. The Site Merchandising/Ecommerce Assistant will help optimize website merchandising, navigation, and content execution to support conversion and sales plans, as well as assist the Director of Ecommerce on QA and Operations of the site.  We are looking for a proactive individual who is looking to develop a career in e-commerce with a growing fashion brand.

Merchandising

  • Merchandise the site daily - collection pages, product pages, search results, etc
  • Use data to inform product listing order on collection pages and continually re-arrange based on selling and performance
  • Curate collections to support featured stories and emails
  • Manage PDP upsell and cross-sell suggestions as well as social proof and suggest copy optimizations to improve selling
  • Partner with Buyer to review buy plans, selling data and web analytics to determine the best merchandising strategy
  • Partner with Director of Ecommerce and Marketing, Brand Communications and Buying teams on landing pages, homepages, editorial assets, etc
  • Partner with production on sizing information for product size guides
  • Review competitor websites of best in class retailers to inspire the customer experience and proactively share ideas and optimizations
  • Maintaining a mobile-first mentality while balancing the visual needs of the desktop experience.
  • Assisting during product launches, updating the metafields descriptions and testing on the front end

UX

  • Conducting usability testing on an ongoing basis
  • Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
  • Consistently look for site bugs/issues and relay to Director of Ecommerce
  • Updating website banners & working closely with internal teams ensure the website is up to date.
  • Assist in QA testing for all site updates

Ecommerce

    

  • Responsible for product removal
  • Responsible tagging & badging for markdowns/promotions
  • Ensure appropriate products are uploaded to the site in accordance with the Ecommerce launch and email calendar and business needs.
  • Maintaining and updating omni-channel stores and shopping feeds such as Facebook and Instagram Shops.
  • Assist in scheduling emails on Klaviyo
  • Assist in scheduling SMS messages

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in Ecommerce, with a focus on Visual Merchandising and UX
  • 1-2 years Shopify experience
  • Strong understanding of the Mara Hoffman brand and competitive fashion digital space
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, but not required
  • Highly analytical and creative thinker, who is extremely detail oriented and loves digging in
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, comfortable making decisions with little guidance
  • Team-player, with a strong work ethic, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
