As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will be a key member of our new and fast-growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) business and actively manage and execute every paid digital channel including paid search, paid social, affiliates, display, and more. You will drive sales KPIs through performance marketing, build our brand & cultivate brand image, and serve as digital / eCommerce marketing thought leader and champion within our organization.

If you’re the ideal candidate for this role, you will possess holistic in-depth knowledge across all paid digital marketing channels and have deep experience in strategy, execution, and optimization of campaigns to ROAS/CPA goals. You are customer-centric, have a strong business sense, and are highly capable of maximizing paid advertising to drive e-commerce growth and brand awareness.

This position is based in Los Angeles and reports to the SVP of Marketing.

Our Future of Work: Who What Wear employees are working from home for the remainder of 2021; therefore, all interview and onboarding activities are virtual. Beginning in 2022, we will transition to a hybrid in-person/ remote work environment. Candidates should be open to both remote and in-person work.

Key Duties:

  • Hands-on strategy, management, and execution of all channels within the digital marketing mix: Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliate, Display, Video Ads, and exploration and testing of other emerging media & platforms to increase customer acquisition and retention and drive positive ROAS.
  • Own the annual digital/performance marketing budget and allocation, daily/weekly optimizing investment to the right channel mix to efficiently hit revenue and acquisition goals and optimize CPA. Work with SVP Marketing & Finance to effectively manage monthly channel budgets, forecasts, and performance planning.
  • Ideate and execute integrated digital campaigns based upon the integrated marketing calendar, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Social, & Influencer teams
  • Partner with data analytics to develop tracking and robust marketing reporting dashboards to monitor KPIs and report channel performance in real-time and share the findings with relevant stakeholders across the organization weekly
  • Project manage creative assets for digital media channels, including advising on best media practices, reporting on recent creative performance trends, briefing creative teams & copywriter, and trafficking ads.
  • Build strong relationships with key media and platform partners and identify opportunities to deliver significant sales results while continuing to enhance and elevate brand presence and image
  • Consistently identify new affiliates that fit within the brand guidelines and recruit them into the program.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years progressive experience in digital / performance / growth marketing, 3+ years eCommerce experience required
  • In-depth hands-on experience across all channels: SEM, Paid Social, Affiliate, & Display (including video ads)
  • Expert skills in Google Adwords and Facebook ad platforms
  • Experience managing and forecasting budgets and performance across marketing channels, including experience building and/or contributing to reporting dashboards 
  • A data-driven, and highly analytical mindset; strong decision-making skills based upon data
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to take ownership and problem solve within a fast-paced retail environment
