DESIGN AND TECHNICAL COORDINATOR

As the Design and Technical Coordinator you will be working as part of the Design team on all seasonal collections as well as additional capsule collections and special projects. You will work closely with Product Development, Sales/Merchandising, and Production teams to create real innovative womenswear designs across all categories for the Wardrobe Collection

  The ideal candidate will have:   

• BA in Fashion Design
• Experience in a luxury fashion company
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrics and colors
• Proficient knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Will be flexible and pro-active, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to balance workload of multiple projects, and communicate across departments to ensure deadlines are met
• Eye for detail and strong presentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Design Assistant and provide support where necessary.
• Produce and present thorough research, design boards, sketches, 3D samples and stand work 
• Develop detailed technical drawings and coloring using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Research and maintain knowledge of relevant womenswear trends and history to advise on silhouettes, finishes, suitability of fabrics etc.  
• Assist during fittings 
• Assist in daily studio errands when needed.
• Good communication skills and an interest in working with a dynamic team.
