About the Role

Gap Inc's Corporate Development ("Corp Dev") team is part of the Strategic Growth Office, at the forefront of driving the next chapter of our growth. At the tip of the spear, Corp Dev is part of team that drives this growth through executing strategic acquisitions / investments, managing the process to identify target companies and capabilities and monitoring and evaluating industry trends.

As Senior Manager of Corporate Development, you will be responsible for driving inorganic initiatives to advance our growth; this might include supporting mergers, acquisitions, investments, partnerships and other strategic transactions. You will work across all aspects of the deal process including qualitative and quantitative analysis to support targeting, financial modeling, due diligence, negotiations, Day 1 planning and post-merger integration. You will work closely with the Strategic Growth Office and key external stakeholders to bring deals to fruition. The Sr. Manager of Corporate Development will report to the Head of Corporate Development.

What You'll Do

  • Support Gap Inc's Corporate Development team and key partners (internal and external) across all aspects of the deal including deal identification, assessment, execution and post-merger integration planning
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis for target identification, business case modeling, due diligence, negotiations, close and integration; formulate findings into executive ready deliverables
  • Run Day 1 planning and manage Transition Service Agreements including initial drafting, ongoing management and exit planning
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships across Gap Inc. both to identify opportunities that accelerate our strategic plan and align to key business objectives, as well as to ensure seamless diligence and integration processes
  • Interface with VCs, startups, banks, advisors and other industry stakeholders as needed
  • Partner with leaders before, during and after the each deal to confirm strategic objectives are being met and all stakeholders are clear on necessary actions required to achieve value defined in business case; oversee presentations to communicate necessary actions and timelines to leadership


Who You Are

  • You have demonstrated experience across all facets of the deal pipeline including target identification, analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and relevant sign and close activities
  • You are a structured thinker with outstanding analytical and prioritization capabilities (quantitative and qualitative) for various activities including market research, competitive analysis, and valuation
  • You understand how to structure and manage Transition Service Agreements; and have experience supporting post close integration activities
  • You have experience managing cross functional and matrixed teams, internal and external to your organization; along with the executive communication and presentation skills that make that possible
  • Top notch finance, analytical and modeling capabilities, with a master's degree in Business or Finance helpful, but not required
  • You've demonstrated a track record as passionately organized, a critical thinker and diligent problem solver with ability to appropriately prioritize and handle multiple projects / workstreams concurrently
