Title:Assistant, Men's Lifestyle Buying Merchandiser, North America
Location:New York, New York
Primary Purpose:Strategic, operational Omni channel assistant merchandiser for North America Retail focusing on Men's Footwear, Ready-to-Wear, and Licensed Catagories. Key role in influencing with Buying, Allocation and Global Merchandise Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy/Product
- Assist in building strategies to drive the lifestyle business in NA, identifying key growth opportunities based on analytics ofproduct performance, customer feedback, consumer trend, competitive landscape and local market knowledge
- Help provide direction to NY Global Merchandising team to develop product ideas that support customer needs for the market.
- Partner with Marketing, Product Knowledge, Visual Merchandising and Store Operations teams to create synergies among all consumer touch points
- Partner with field teams to solicit qualitative feedback on product, customers, store environments & competition
Business Analysis
- Analyze weekly selling reports, customer analytics, and store visit feedback, -- generating actions to maximize business opportunities
- Help in partnering with GMP to drive OTB to meet financial targets and productivity metrics at the SKU level for performance, sales, inventory, receipt, and margin goals
- Help in partnering with Global Merchandising Planning to drive quarterly buys to meet financial targets and maximize North America opportunities
- Assist in building and maintaining assortment tools and sku counts
- Help in partnering with Global Merchandise Planning to help Manage SKU lifecycle from adoption to delete, react to in season sales to determine go forward strategy
Marketing
- Assist in partnering with Marketing, Global Merchandise Planning, and Ecom to influence monthly product features and big ideas - translate to Marketing and Web in order to drive content across customer touchpoints
- Provide product knowledge for Field Service Training to present to accounts and shop staff
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree preferred
- At least 1-3 years of Buying and/or Planning experience required
- Highly organized and proactive with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and a Planning system
- Strong strategic thinking and outstanding analytical/quantitative skills
- Excellent team working skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships across multiple levels; must work collaboratively to drive sales results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
