Primary Purpose:As Legal Counsel, you will be a key member of a small team in a fast-paced retail environment, partnering with the business to identify solutions and protect the company in the development of its retail business in Europe and distributor relationships in the EMEA region.

- Working closely with business partners to understand and address business needs in a timely and commercial manner
- Organize and maintain legal files
- Drafting, research and submission of legal documents
- Review of contracts for all departments of the company including Marketing team, Wholesale team, Retail team, Financial Reporting team, HR and IT teams.
- Manage incoming subpoenas, legal notices and other legal documents from around Europe
- Ensure deadlines are met, questions are answered, and requests are addressed
- Participate in special projects as needed (e.g. Brexit, GDPR, supply chain)
- Subject matter will touch on commercial and distribution agreements, competition laws, commercial leases, employment issues, store operation, e-commerce and consumer laws, intellectual property, sustainability, and privacy
- Supporting the global compliance team in the implementation best practices
- Participating in the anti-counterfeiting program to protect Tapestry's IP rights
- Supporting the accounting team with monthly updates on the portfolio of leases
- Will report to head of legal for international business
The accomplished individual will possess...
- 7+ years of relevant legal experience
- Law Degree required
- Admission to the bar in either the UK or an EU member state
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Excellence in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
