Team Leader Merchandise Planner (f/m/d)

To support our international team we are currently searching for a Team Leader Merchandise Planning (f/m/d) for our Womenswear team based in our head office in Munich.

  YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead and develop an international team of planners by setting individual targets and doing regular performance assessments, manage career development and succession planning

• Set seasonal budget targets by category and work closely with the Finance and Buying teams at each stage of the planning process

• Monitor weekly trade performance and intake: conduct weekly trade meetings, initiate and coordinate trading actions across all categories to push sales and reduce overstock, in close collaboration with Buying, Digital Merchandising as well as our brand partners

• Manage markdown and promotional activities of current and old season to hit sales targets and optimize stock positions within the respect of margin targets

• Drive optimizations of working tools and processes in order to improve efficiencies and support long term business growth

• Work closely with the other Merchandise Planning teams, exchanging and implementing best practices as a standard, setting up trainings and documentation to ensure business continuity and people development

• Close collaboration with management and other departments on strategic projects

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Academic degree in Business administration or equal education

• Experience with managing and developing a team, in a fashion or e-commerce company

• Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandise planning or buying

• High sense of team spirit, empathy, open-mindedness and previous international experience

• Strategic thinker, excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention for detail and a passion for numbers

• Proactive, flexible, “Hands-on“ mentality with a problem solving attitude

• Reliable, autonomous, strong organizational skills and ideally project management skills

• Advanced level of Excel skills and experience with BI tools, programming skills are a plus

• Excellent communication skills

• Fluent in English, spoken and written
