Job Details

The Sales Manager is responsible for Account Management through a combination of providing sales, defining strategy and business driven actions, product knowledge and communication with commercial and planning teams.  The position requires teamwork and relationship building both internally and externally.

Mission:

Manage assigned Key Strategic wholesale accounts & prospect to sell the collection in the following Countries: UK, Ireland, Major Online partners and key departments stores in Europe. 

They will build a direct and strong relationship with existing key business partners (Online customers & key department stores), and will target/visit the markets, grow the assigned accounts in terms of brand presence and value, in charge to improve the appearance of existing clients through VM/Product/sales training and improve quality of presence on online partners through in depth product and sales analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Correct planning, reporting and follow-up of sales activities, provide account with direct feedback and recommendations in order to ensure order drives the right brand strategy
  • Create growth strategies for Online accounts & country/account, generating new sales, forecast and track key account metrics
  • Efficient and effective market and store-visit planning, VM/Product/sales training.
  • Prospection (evolution, constant feedback from wholesale partners in terms of needs and satisfaction, and taking opportunities when offered by the market & share them with Commercial Director EU)
  • Active management of the clients during the buying in the showroom (selling to clients directly, achievement of agreed OTB, requested quality of selection).
  • Constant control and monitoring of numeric results (invoiced turn-over, payments, deliveries and re-orders, sell-throughs), preparation of seasonal OTBs and correct and regular reporting to Commercial Director EU.
  • Advocate for account specific needs to drive more business
  • Seasonal budget negotiations with wholesale partners.
  • Provide in country training to staff of Wholesale partners that includes but not limited to brand history, product knowledge, styling and selling tips.
  • Negotiate contracts and close commercial agreements to maximize profits
  • Coordinating event in stores and marketing functions with our marketing team
  • Manage high level shipping issues & credit issues that arise with accounts
  • Travel for market in Paris, New York

Analytics and Financial and Assortment Planning
 

  • Strong functional skills and systems expertise; ability to run and analyze data, identify takeaways, and next steps to drive and change business. Implement these changes with the accounts. Identify ways to work more efficiently and build these tools and models to support business needs. Follow up with accounts and team members independently.
  • Work closely with the planning team on driving and owning POS sales plans, OTB and account level inventory management and reflect different factors that affect planning (new stores, category Partner with Merchandising and wholesale partners in assortment planning, order roll-up, achieving global buy breadth/depth and OTB targets.
  • Liaise with cross functional teams to ensure product and investment will support sales targets.
  • Recommends new products and services by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled.

The ideal candidate outlined above shows the following characteristics:

  • Fluent in English, additional languages like German are a plus.
  • University degree
  • 5+ yrs experience in the luxury/contemporary fashion industry in wholesale sales (direct management of Online accounts, department stores).
  • Deep knowledge of the wholesale distribution and clientele in UK / Online expertise is a must.
  • Showroom selling experience.
  • Familiar with industry trends and forecasts
  • Meticulous mindset with strong business acumen & logic
  • Collaborative, independent and agile working style
  • Willingness to frequent traveling 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and great Excel skills required
